Post #1627, COVID-19, a little uptick?

Looks like the U.S. daily new COVID 19 case count rose to 13 / 100K / day.  That’s up one from the level it has held for more-or-less the past month.

It’s tough to say whether this is meaningful or not, because the data reporting has gotten so hit-or-miss.  When states skip weeks of data reporting, that puts artifacts into the data.  (At least, it does, the way I do my seven-day-moving-average calculation).

Nothing is happening in Canada, nothing is happening in Europe, and if there’s any north/south difference in new cases in the U.S., it surely isn’t apparent from a map of the last two weeks’ case growth.
